Disability Aids and where to obtain them?

It is quite a large area. Depending on your walking abilities, the following are available: a walking frame, a wheel-chair, an el-scooter.
Smaller facilities such as a gripping device, special cutlery or other things  which may help you, can be authorized by an occupational therapist from your municipality if you request it.
A small contact system, which works like a telephone, to be worn at all times in case you fall. You may need a special telephone line for this. If or when you use it, assistance will come within half an hour.
A person from the municipality finds out what sort of help you need.
(Personal help, or help with cleaning, washing, shopping etc.)
A handicap car is also available through the person in the municipalty who is assigned to take care of you.Such a car is exempt from taxes and you can even pay for it in instalments.You must also get hold of a special sign. Then you can park at places especially for handicap vehicles. But these places are not always respected by others.
You can also receive assistance, through your doctor, who can help you to apply for transport with a special HT-door-to-door service.
When one wants to attend f.inst.a party or a funeral somewhere, an exellent service is available countrywide. Your own nurse will contact the local municipality office to arrange it and assistance is provided at the time and place appointed.
Many chronic illnesses entitle you to free physiological and warm-water treatments. Your own physician recommends you.
Absorbent sheets of all kinds are made available free of charge. One can even  obtain  panties with pre-fitted diapers!
A watch must in any circumstance be available. If you have poor eyesight a "talking clock" is the solution.
Some bank outlets have an ATM with large digits and the keyboard placed at a convenient height. (Here: Lyngby Storcenter - a major suburban shopping centre).
A visit from a good friend is worth its weight in gold for one' s health.
At the Grand Hotel Reykjavik, Iceland they have a room especially equipped for disabled guests. Apart from the handicap toilet a sickbed is available on request. And the front door has even got a peephole
conveniently located for an occupant in a wheelchair.
 Healing might be an option. 
 A positive approach, an open mind, confidence in the healer and a convection that an improvement is a possibility.
